GROUP INTRODUCTION

Hi folks!

We’re Rebeca, Alba, Aitana, Celia, Raquel, Carolina, Júlia and Mar and we’re a group of students of Màster d’Educació Secundària at Universitat de València. Firstly, we would like you to get to know us better, so we’re going to tell you a bit about where our nickname comes from. “Komenashians: making a difference” is the result of the relationship we’ve established among us during the master.

On the one hand, we came up with this name (komenashians) when we learnt about Comenius, the father of education, while preparing the Festival de la Educación. As we were the ones in charge of dealing with the education of the future, we decided to give that word a modern twist by adding the –ashians ending, which relates to one of the most popular families in the world nowadays, the Kardashians. In addition, this term also implies the sense of family which prevails inside our group.

On the other hand, the statement making a difference refers to the fact that we are the teachers of the future and we are responsible for giving a new and fresh approach to teaching.

With this blog, we hope to keep you up to date with any piece of information we may find useful and relevant for learning and teaching.

You’re all welcome to join our family!
